Well, the Cardinals lost the Super Bowl XLIII. They played a good game though. I only watched the last 2 minutes of the game, so didn’t really care too much. I did want the Cardinals to win – being that I am an Arizonan and all. But oh well; At least they actually made it to the Super Bowl. And for them, that is a miracle!
They should have had better defense I think. They let the Steelers’ Quarterback get too many great throws. He was left wide open! No way should the Steelers have scored with 2 minutes left in the game!
But anyway, I don’t trust these games so much. Who knows what goes on with the NFL politics! Hey, what can I say, I’m a conspiracy theorist. LOL!
Well, congrats to the Steelers!

I’m from Arizona, and I’m happy that the Arizona Cardinals are going to the Super Bowl!
But I am still very shocked that they actually made it to the Super Bowl! The Arizona Cardinals have, for so long, been a horrible football team. Sorry to Cards fans for saying that, but they’ve never gotten anywhere near the Super Bowl in most seasons!
I’m happy for them though. I’m not a huge football fan, but I watch it occasionally; I like most sports and watch various games sometimes.
So anyway, congratulations to the Arizona Cardinals!! I hope they win the Super Bowl!

It was so fun to watch the 2008 Summer Olympics this month. I really enjoyed the swimming, diving and gymnastics. It was fun to know there was something good to watch for at least part of the day. The only down side is I wanted to see many of these events LIVE and they weren’t shown Live on the West Coast. I could kick NBC execs for that!
But other than that, it was a cool experience. I discovered people like swimmer Ryan Lochte, gymnast Nastia Liukin and divers Guo Jingjing and Chen Ruolin. So it’ll be cool to see them perform in the future. Well, Guo isn’t sure whether or not she’ll retire from diving. Hopefully she won’t retire, but only if she’s truly happy diving.
Anyway, while I miss the Olympics, I guess it’s best that it’s over, because the new fall schedule for many TV shows is coming. I’m looking forward to TV shows like The Office. So I wouldn’t want the Olympics to interrupt my favorite TV shows anyway.

I like Michael Phelps and hope he wins his 8th gold medal in these 2008 Summer Olympics. But I really would love it if the press gave more props to other athletes like Ryan Lochte and Aaron Peirsol. I mean, the media hype of Michael Phelps is so annoying. Michael Phelps is a great swimmer and I understand why he gets more coverage than other swimmers (and most other athletes), but I don’t think he deserves it at the expense of other great swimmers like Ryan Lochte and Aaron Peirsol, etc.
I hate when I’m watching an interview with other great swimmers and the interview always turns to Michael Phelps! Ugh that’s annoying. I like Ryan Lochte (even more than I like Michael Phelps) and it was annoying to have to hear questions about Michael Phelps during an interview Ryan Lochte had after he had won the gold medal for the 200 meter backstroke swimming competition. That was Ryan’s moment and Michael didn’t need to be talked about more than Ryan himself was talked about.
And it’s sort of the same with Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson. Shawn Johnson has been shown favoritism by the press since these 2008 Summer Olympics started. And even AFTER Nastia won the gold medal for the women’s all around in gymnastics, the press is still giving Shawn just as much attention as Nastia. I believe it most likely wouldn’t have been that way if Nastia had won silver and Shawn had won gold. Nastia would probably had been snubbed by the press even more.
I’ve read some opinions about the 2008 Summer Olympics coverage and see that some people feel that same as I do. That’s good, it’s nice to know everyone isn’t falling for the media’s hype and favoritism.

Yes! Ryan Lochte and Nastia Liukin Win the GOLD! Last night I wrote that I wanted Ryan Lochte and Nastia Liukin to win the gold. Ryan in the 200 meter individual medley (IM) in swimming and 200 meter backstroke , and Nastia in the women’s all around in gymnastics. I also said I’d be happy if Ryan at least won the gold medal in the 200 meter backstroke, even if he didn’t win in the 200 meter IM (against Michael Phelps in the 200 meter).
So that’s what happened – Well, almost. Nastia won the Gold. Shawn Johnson won the silver. Ryan won the gold in the 200 meter backstroke, but won the bronze in the 200 meter IM. I was hoping he’d at least win silver in the 200 meter IM. Michael Phelps won the gold in the 200 meter IM. Anyway, major congratulations to Ryan Lochte and Nastia Liukin! I was really rooting for them to win the gold (especially for Ryan to win an individual gold medal) and they did! YAHOOO!!
Also, congrats to Shawn Johnson for winning the silver medal and Michael Phelps for winning yet another gold medal. I hope he can get the 8 gold medals in a single Olympic games record that he wants!
And I have to say once again congratulations to Ryan Lochte and Nastia Liukin for winning their gold medals! I’m really happy for them! Ryan is done swimming for these Olympics. He won two gold medals and two bronze medals. Nastia still has some gymnastics competitions to do for single events. Good Luck to Nastia, may she win more gold medals! Good luck to Shawn Johnson as well! And good luck to Michael Phelps! Hopefully he’ll get those 8 gold medals!

The swimming and gymnastics competitions are coming up tonight at the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics. And I have to admit that I am hoping Ryan Lochte beats out Michael Phelps and everyone to win the Gold medal in swimming for the Men’s 200 meter individual medley . And that Nastia Liukin beats out Shawn Johnson and everyone to win the Gold medal in gymnastics for the Women’s individual all around. I do like Michael Phelps and Shawn Johnson, especially Michael Phelps, but I like Ryan Lochte more than Michael Phelps, and Nastia Liukin more than Shawn Johnson. Plus, I have a crush on Ryan Lochte; he’s so cute and he’s a great swimmer. He’s got looks and talent. Nice combo! Plus, I hear he’s really fun and outgoing.
But if Ryan and Nastia don’t win the Gold medals, I hope they at least win Silver! And I will be happy for Michael Phelps to set new records for most Gold medals in a single Olympics, as he’s expected to do by most people. And it will also be nice for Shawn to win since everyone expects her to win anyway. But I’m still rooting for Nastia and Ryan. If Nastia and Ryan win Silver, then I want Michael and Shawn to win the Gold!
Anyway, maybe Ryan can win Gold in the 200 meter backstroke (I don’t think Michael is going to swim that one) and Michael can win the Gold in the individual medley. That would be cool too.

The 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China starts tonight. I’m really looking forward to the gymnastics, swimming and diving competitions. Those have always been my favorites. I also like track and field; mostly running. My absolute favorite is gymnastics, especially floor exercise!
