ChelleI have a major pet peeve, and that’s when I sign up to a new forum, confirm my membership by email and then get a message stating that I have to wait to be approved by an administrator or moderator. Ugh! I would really love it if they would let me know that before I bother registering.
They could simply put a message on the registration page, or somewhere else on their forum, stating that if someone registers, they have to wait for approval. That would help people make up their minds about whether or not they want to register. In some cases I wouldn’t bother registering, but in other cases I would. It would depend on what the subject matter of the forum was.
