Well, just a quick update. I still mostly study LearnHebrewPod.com. I have been slacking a bit lately, because I’m working on my other website a lot and I have new jobs that I am studying for (their guidelines and rules).
But I can say some phrases in Hebrew:
Ani Lomeded Ivrit (I study Hebrew)
Ani Ohevet Glida (I love Ice Cream)
Okay, so it’s not great, but it’s a start. That Hebrew spelling is transliteration, not the real Hebrew alphabet (which I did learn a couple months ago).
I haven’t been studying with Transparent Language lately, but I plan to start with that again soon.
Well, that’s all for now, until next month…
Well, I have been studying Hebrew pretty much every day still.
But now I study mostly from the LearnHebrewPod.com podcasts and less from the Transparent Language Hebrew computer CD Roms.
I find that I like to listen to English/Hebrew conversations more and learn that way. Plus, LearnHebrewPod.com has transcripts of all of their conversations, so I can read and listen to everything.
Some language podcasts only have the audio and no print materials to go with it, so I really love that LearnHebrewPod.com has the printed materials and transcripts of all of their podcasts.
I still will study with Transparent Language, I just plan to use
LearnHebrewPod.com more often. I’d also like to buy the Rosetta Stone program in Hebrew and study with that too. As well and Pimsleur Hebrew CD, because I hear that’s a really great language course.
I think one of the most important things to learning a language and becoming as fluent as possible, is studying the language various ways and with various resources. But I guess that’s true with learning most anything.
So anyway, that’s my Hebrew update for January. I plan to do these monthly. So my February Hebrew update will be sometime late next month!
